Run by an operator. Supervised by a small dog.

Helsinki, Finland

Trained chef. Spent the 2000s and 2010s in professional kitchens, including Michelin-trained stints. Still runs a private chef business, Umami Catering, on the side.

Eight years at Seidat Oy, a Finnish B2B SaaS company, growing from project manager to COO and Head of Customer Success. Built the company's HR, finance, and security from scratch. Led the pricing overhauls that drove the next phase of growth. Sat on the management team. Did due diligence on the merger that followed. Reported to the board.

Today: owner-operator across three businesses. Easy Host Oy manages 56 short-term rental listings in nine Finnish cities. Caravan Helsinki rents campervans and is rolling out a hosting service for other owners. Umami Catering cooks in clients' homes. Every one of them runs on tools built with the same stack you are reading about now.

Papu Studio is the next step. The same stack, the same operator, packaged so other businesses can buy the same speed.

Papu
Mascot

Papu

Danish-Swedish Farmdog. Hangs out by the desk.

Papu is the studio dog. She does not write code. She does supervise. The name of the studio is hers, not the other way around.

If you ever drop by the Helsinki office, she will probably lick your hand and then go back to her spot.

Papu also means "bean" in Finnish, which is a small bonus for Finnish readers.
